Twas three weeks before Christmas…

And all through our house…. all the children are laughing, jumping, running, screaming, and delaying the start of their schoolday as long as they can get away with it.

The stockings are… still in a box somewhere, but I can’t find them because there are still a bajillion boxes piled up in our garage from our recent move.

While mama in her…. pajamas. Still. Don’t judge. This girl is TIRED.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter… and I realized it was all our neighbors hanging their Christmas lights and setting holiday festivity on their lawns, while we still haven’t had time to rake the leaves and sweep the sidewalks. Ugh, please let me at least find my Christmas wreath in that garage somewhere.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear… the chocolate chip cookies we made last night! Aaaah, I’ll search for the Christmas boxes later. Right now… I’m sneaking me some cookies.

And then in a twinkling, I heard… All the children rushing into the kitchen yelling “cookies!”. Hmmm. Caught.

Well, I suppose I can only exclaim… “Merry Christmas to all!” as we eat cookies and milk for breakfast before starting our schoolday 2 hours late.
